Fondly known as “Queen B”, Bonang Matheba is SA’s IT girl who has cemented herself as the entertainment lady of now - Media maven, MC, TV & Radio Presenter, Fashionista and TV Producer. B’s electric on-screen presence is undeniable, but she is no over-night success story. She had been appearing in youth and educational programmes from the age of 15 when she came to the media’s attention with her breakout performances on SABC1’s music show “LIVE”, almost four years ago, entertaining seven million viewers weekly, with her energetic and fast-paced presenting style, moving from English to Setswana with ease. Now presenter on South Africa’s premiere Lifestyle and Magazine Show, Top Billing- Bonang has been described as “the best female presenter to ever come out of SA.
Bonang began her incredible radio career with YFM in 2009. She started off by hosting a Hip-Hop weekday evening show between ten and twelve- soon on the youth platform, before moving on to what was known as The Beehive, which broadcasted weekends between twelve and three in the afternoon. Bonang went on to join the METRO FM family on April 1st, taking over the popular 09:00- 12:00 weekday slot. She host the fast growing lifestyle show - The Front Row, which she describes as a show that keeps any lifestyle motivated South African in the know, especially those who are inspired by the good things in life.
    
Bonang also hosts Mzansi Magic's popular singing competition, Clash Of The Choirs. In it's second season, Clash Of The Choirs follows Bonang as she embarks on a country-wide search alongside celebrity "Choir Masters", in hopes of unearthing South African talent. In 2014, Bonang also ventured into lingerie design, launching her first collection in partnership with Woolworths SA. This comes just one year after Matheba was revealed as the First Revlon Brand Ambassador, outside of the US, joining the ranks of Hollywood A-Listers such Halle berry, Olivia Wilde and Emma Stone.
