I’m a young, passionate Journalist, born and bred in the small town of Lusikisiki. My journey in radio broadcasting started in 2017 at Sajonisi Youth Radio (SYR) in Port St Johns, where I earned my stripes as a bulletin newsreader and current affairs show presenter. During my stint at SYR, our show was voted as the best programme by the station’s listeners.
My biggest breakthrough so far came in 2019, when I joined SABC youth station trufm’s current affairs team. Here I’ve had the opportunity to contribute as a producer and presenter. I’ve also dabbled in TV reporting. I currently host the station’s weekday current affairs show, truNews@18h00. In the next five years I aspire to be a well-rounded news broadcaster.
I am inspired by people who are determined to succeed in life regardless of the adversities they are faced with. I have two favourite quotes: ‘’Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.’’
