Collen Biziwe Masango

Introduction:

Meet Malopi Collin Christian Masango, or simply Biziwe who embodies hard work, talkativeness, and creativity, all while presenting with an energetic and humorous style that's uniquely his own.

Career Origins:

His journey into the world of media commenced at the Sibikwa Arts Centre in Benoni, where he delved into speech & drama, storytelling, and dance. This laid the foundation for his remarkable career.

Community Involvement:

He has extended his talents to government departments, parastatals, and the arts community, making a positive impact. Founder of 'Voice Of Wisdom,' a theatre group that clinched the 2006/07 Naledi Award for the best-produced community theatre play in South Africa with 'When the bell rings'.

Awards and Giving Back:

Biziwe has been honoured with eight awards, including Best Theatre Actor at the Naledi Awards and the South African National Community Theatre Association (SANCTA 2007). His dedication extends to the 'Happy Feet Happy Mind Foundation’, a non-profit organization he established in 2013, which donates school uniforms to disadvantaged children.

Multifaceted Talent:

When not behind the microphone, Biziwe is often found on stage performing music or serving as a charismatic master of ceremonies for diverse events. Biziwe is also an accomplished writer and actor, with roles in popular soap operas, international movies, and local films.

As the proprietor of Matwetwe Entertainment, Biziwe’s label has fostered exceptional talents like Mbuzana, Cya, Fusion Tone, and Bongoman.

Radio Beginnings:

Biziwe’s journey at iKwekwezi FM started in 2003 when he initially took part in radio dramas. Later,  bringing laughter to the afternoon drive show with 'Matwetwe Umrhubhulili Wendaba'.

Recognition and Awards:

Throughout his radio career, he has garnered acclaim. In 2008, Biziwe earned a star award as the Most Improved Radio Presenter and later achieved recognition as the 'Magnetic Voice of the Year' in 2013.

Current Show:

Presently, he is at the helm of Siditjhile 12h00 – 15h00, the station's lively midday show, catering to youth, young adults, and working professionals. Expect a mix of information, showbiz, academic and job opportunities, traffic updates, and vibrant music.
