  • What do you love most about radio?

Everything. I get to speak to hundreds of thousands of amazing people everyday because of the magical medium of broadcasting. Combining my passion of comedy and sports on a daily basis is dream come true and I’m sincerely grateful that the listeners are always there for the gees & show so much love.

  • How long have you been on radio?

It’s my 10th year of broadcasting. I started working at Good Hope FM in 2012 on an ad-hoc basis. My first stand-in spot as a Sports Presenter was on December 26 2012. My first official show I started working on was Lunch On Mars with Stan Mars and Vania Cloete Collison on 1 April 2013.

  • What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Stand-up Comedy, Running, Hiking, avoiding load shedding, thinking of ways to make petrol cheaper and enjoying Sunday lunch with some lekker peppermint tart at my parents place.

  • What knowledge do you love imparting onto your listeners?

We learn from each other and that’s the best part of our job. Our listeners are legit the best. They tell the best stories in their voice notes and me laugh so much. They have awesome sports stories and keep me on my toes. Plus their general knowledge is on point so there’s no slacking or time to drop the ball. We all in it together. Like a lekker family.

Wait, there’s one thing. It’s a bit cheesy but I’m here for it and I know the listeners are too. Find a reason to laugh everyday. Its free and will make you feel lekker. Awe.

  • What daily motivation do you believe contributes to your success over the airwaves daily?

Like I said, I get to pursue my passion and live my dream every day and work with the most amazing humans. It’s such a blessing. I'm just a bra from Retreat who was in the right place at the right time in 2010 when I won the UCT leg of Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ Search.

  • What has been your favourite moment on Radio?

The 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics was a career highlight. I presented a segment where we doubled up and broadcasted simultaneously on live radio and tv for the duration of the games. Good Hope FM Sport meets SABC Sports vibes. It was the best. I never slept for two weeks because I was up throughout the night busy watching team SA.

The magical moment was when Bianca Buitendag won a surfing silver medal and Tatjana Schoenmaker won 200m breaststroke gold setting a new world record. That day, I wore a wet suit, swimming goggles and a bathing cap to work. It was all about the good vibes and gees live on TV. Our listeners and viewers were there for it and we had the best time. Those who watched it will know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, find the videos and pictures on social media. Thank you for letting me be myself and never crushing my spirit lol. Awe
