Show(s):

Geri's love for travel and discovering new things is what eventually led her to Good Hope FM.

She worked in a variety of different industries before deciding radio was the right one for her, including at a Tea Emporium as a Tea Master in Notting Hill and Law Firm in London, as a lab assistant on a Grain Farm in Cambridge and in a butchery.

After living and working in the United Kingdom for 4 years, Geri returned home to South Africa keen to explore her work options in the media and broadcasting fields.  She did a course in TV presenting at City Varsity in 2009 and became the resident DJ at Ratanga Junction soon after this, working during school holidays and DJing and MCing at private functions.

In late 2009 she signed a contract with Good Hope FM as a news presenter and officially began her career at Good Hope FM in 2010,  during the Soccer World Cup, as a fan park correspondent and weekend news presenter. Since then Geri has also worked at the station as a sports presenter, Rugby World Cup 2011 show host and stand-in presenter/host on various shows.  Currently she guides our listeners through the morning peak traffic from 6am to 9am Monday to Friday on Good Hope FM Breakfast with Dan Corder.

Geri also works as a retail radio presenter, voice over artist and MC. Although now permanently based in Cape Town with her family, she still has a great love for travel and is trying to add more countries to the list she has visited already, which include England, France, Belgium, Vietnam, Holland, Turkey, Namibia, Belgium, Singapore, Prague, Ireland, Wales, Cambodia, Scotland, Thailand and India.
