Culminating an exciting vocation as a club and event deejay & having graduated from Cape Audio College as a Music Producer Jason Abels joined the GHFM family in 2013.

What do you love most about radio?

Being a perfectionist, the thing I love most about radio is the live element of it.^. There is little to no room for errors and being in the studio environment allows me to think on my feet and operate under pressure, which I love!

How long have you been on radio?

6 years

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

These days I spend a lot of my spare time practicing my audio production skills. I’m also an avid biker and love to spend time cruising up the streets of Cape Town. You can also find me up in the gym just working on my fitness or on a nice hike up in the mountains.

What knowledge do you love imparting onto your listeners?

Be yourself! Trust your gut! Follow your dreams and trust the process!

What daily motivation do you believe contributes to your success over the airwaves daily?

Being able to present a world class radio product to our listeners everyday motivates me to do exactly that.

What has been your favourite moment on Radio?

The CAPFIN Campaign where the listeners of GHFM and The Great Drive all contributed and donated their hard earned money to the homeless of Cape Town live on air! That was priceless.
