Noni Radebe recently joined the Good Hope FM family after winning the 2020 Campus DJ search.

The Johannesburg born 23-year-old was bit by the radio bug shortly after joining Campus Radio in her first year studying at the University of Cape Town, where she completed her honours degree in International Relations. Noni’s passion for both radio and academia run deep and this is evident through her charismatic voice, energy, versatile music taste and the general knowledge & fun facts she brings to the Good Hope FM airwaves each morning. Outside of radio and academia, women empowerment is another incredibly important topic and movement to this young lady.

Noni enjoys spending time with her close-knit family and friends who are her biggest support. Start your day on the right note by joining her as she wakes up the Mother City every weekday morning from 05:00 to 06:00am on The Wake-Up Call, exclusive to Good Hope FM.

What do you love most about radio?

I absolutely love the sense of community that one builds with the listeners over time. Moreover, the ability to share my personality and love for music on air is so fun.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy listening to music, running, spending time with my family & friends, binge watching series online and hiking.

What knowledge do you love imparting onto your listeners?

Valuable knowledge, be it in the entertainment, academic or in the general knowledge realm. I love sharing new information that may be of interest and value to the next person.

What daily motivation do you believe contributes to your success over the airwaves daily?

I can put a smile on someone’s face every morning. This is something I do not take lightly, in a world where we are all facing so many unique challenges, I’d like to assist in lifting that weight, even if it is only for a few hours.
