Mzwandile “Ndile” Ntshona is a son of uMzwamadoda Patrick Ntshona and Nomalungisa Xoki/Ntshona, born and bred in the Eastern Cape eNqamakwe (kuDudumashe). Mzwandile is a Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist church, who started his pastoral career in Flagstaff (Emampondweni). I am a person who loves radio so dearly, an event entertainer, and a voice-over artist. I believe that the voice is one of the greatest elements of humanity. It can destroy; however, it can also inspire and change the lives of others through its content. The human voice is the organ of the soul.  

• What show do you host on Umhlobo Wenene FM?

I am doing “Imiphanga” which is the reading of the deceased.

When and how did your career start?

My Career on Radio started in the year 2021 when I was taken by one of the greatest community radios in the Eastern Cape “Inkonjane F.M”. The program manager of the Station “Ncediwe ‘Diwe’ Peza” had a huge impact on my career as she was the one who called me to be part of Inkonjane F.M presenters. Furthermore, as a Voice Over Artist, I would upload my demos on social media, content which consisted of reading an obituary, sports commentary, and adverts. Moreover, the Inkonjane F.M station manager “Simbongile ‘Sim’ Mmbo submitted my name to Umhlobo Wenene when SABC was looking for someone to host “Imiphanga” and thus I found myself on this big national Radio.

What role has Umhlobo Wenene FM played in your life?

Umhlobo Wenene has played a huge role in my career by giving me a platform on which I can be able to grow and showcase my talents. Furthermore, it has given me an opportunity as a minister to have a broader audience that I can be able to minister to people by comforting them during their time of grief which in a way makes me to be true to my calling as a minister of the gospel

What are your career highlights?
- I have worked as a minister of the Seventh-day Adventist church in the Flagstaff district

-In the year 2021, I have work for Inkonjane Fm which is in the Flagstaff area.

- In 2022 I received a call from the SABC to be an “Imipanga” anchor at Umhlobo Wenene F.M

• Which radio legend inspired your broadcast style and why?

Putco Mfani is the radio legend that inspired my broadcast style. I like his style of presenting, when he starts to open his mouth on air, his voice causes you to stop whatever you are doing and listen to this beautiful voice. Secondly, as a person who is in the entertainment industry, I always look at how he controls the audience and bring up entertainment to them when he is called to be a master f ceremony and I always say “One day I will be the next Putco Mafani”. Lastly, I used to watch him sing in church as we both worship in the same denomination, the S.D.A. Church. Ndiyakholwa litshawe.

• What would you like people to remember about you?

I would like people to remember me as a people’s person, a person who always wants to see the next person happy, a person who will bring change to this cruel world, a person whom when he dies people would say “He was an angel from above made in human form”, then last but surely not the least I want to be remembered as a person for loved and feared God.  

• State 5 facts that we don’t know about you…
• Just because I am a pastor, people do not know that I can dance and that there is no trending dance that I do not practice.
• I have a huge phobia of approaching a girl, kuvele kubengathi uzakundiphoxa.
• As a person who is always bubbly and laughing, people do not know that I easily get hurt, I have a very sensitive heart.
• I love running, as a matter of fact it's my dream to one day run the comrades marathon or the Boston Marathon.
• I love singing with all my heart, I even prefer singing than preaching.

• What is the best gift you've ever received?

The biggest gift that I have ever received was actually from myself when I bought myself a car to say “Usebenzile Nkomoshe”.
