1. Define Dumza Maswana to us (example)
NdinguKhwalo. A God loving man, a father to Emihle, a lover of peace, justice and love, music is my life.
2. What role has Umhlobo Wenene FM played in your life?
I have always been an avid listener to Umhlobo Wenene, even when I was a schoolboy. Why? Because it has always been relatable and relevant to its audience. When other kids weren’t allowed to play radio, for some reason my grandmother allowed because of the love of music. My life has become more about music than any other thing I grew up by. Umhlobo Wenene taught me to dream, it gave me role models and taught me music.
3. Who inspires you and why?
I am inspired by people who enjoy leaving their comfort zone, and do not mind venturing into the unknown and Black Coffee is that person. His bravery, his love for collaborations and his focus to the dream even in the midst of noise. I want to be that person.
4. What does radio mean to you?
A community of friends you can fight with today over an opinion, and be best of friends tomorrow over things you agree on. A friend. A teacher. A library of information. A home.
5. If you were not on radio, what would you be doing?
I’m a full time musician, radio presenter and a philanthropist, I’m all these things at once.
6. What would you like people to remember about you?
I want to be remembered for being a kind and a compassionate person. I want to be remembered for helping others.

8. State 5 facts that we don’t know about you…
· I studied Theogy at a Bible College, though I didn’t complete.
· I have a foundation called “Dumza Maswana Foundation” whose core function is to mobilize resources to facilitate programmes of social upliftment for the rural communities.
· I was a voice of trufm for 7 years
· I’m a born again Christian
· I’m extremely shy and can’t cope around many people, especially in closed spaces.
9. What is the best gift you've ever received?
An ex organised a surprise 30th birthday party for meand it was my first ever party, and Black Coffee bought me a MaXhosa shawl and had Laduma Ngxokolo deliver it to my house.
