UMhlobo Wenene FM cancels 60^th birthday virtual party

Port Elizabeth – Saturday, 30 May 2020 - UMhlobo Wenene FM has cancelled its 6^0th birthday virtual party. The decision was taken by the station’s management due to the Covid – 19 pandemic concerns. The party which was set to be live today on the station’s Facebook page and YouTube channel simultaneously from 18h00 – 24h00 was cancelled this morning.

UMhlobo Wenene FM Acting Station Manager, Ntsikelelo Tom said “this was not an easy decision to take but, because our employees’ health comes first, we had to cancel the virtual party immediately. We understand that millions of our listeners were looking forward to the virtual party and we profusely apologise for disappointing them.”

Listeners will miss the line – up that was formed by the station’s DJ’s; DJ Slyso, Pastor the DJ, Elvis Mali, Bukiwe Zide and Mafa Bavuma.
