Sebenzile Nkambule is an experienced journalist, strategic communications practitioner and host of The Weekend View on SAFM. Sebenzile previously hosted robust, 'must-listen-to' talk shows on Power 98.7 and Talk Radio 702. A knowledgeable and tough interviewer, Sebenzile's witty nature presents audiences with a compelling and informative offering, with a healthy dose of frankness and humour. She has extensive experience in radio and television broadcasting, spanning over a decade working on some of South Africa's leading news and current affairs platforms. Sebenzile also has experience in the social justice and human rights sector in southern Africa, and has held senior managerial roles at regional human rights and social justice non-profit organisations. Sebenzile was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship, through which she specialised in digital storytelling and strategic communications at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, in the USA. Sebenzile holds a BA Journalism degree majoring in International Relations, and Honours and Master’s degrees in Gender Studies from the University of Pretoria. Sebenzile is Mandela Rhodes Scholar, a member of the Graca Machel Women in Media Network, and a member of the inaugural cohort of the Obama Africa Leadership Programme.
