KG’s name is synonymous with the evolution of the radio industry in South Africa post 94. She honed her skills at Radio Bop and would be recruited to be part of the founding team of the newly licensed commercial station P4 Radio in KZN, now known as Gagasi FM. A further recruitment catapulted her to Kaya FM where she spent 5 years and earned a historic spot as 1st commercial radio female breakfast show host. When the radio glass ceiling hit, she went back to Gagasi FM and earned another accolade as first female commercial radio Programming Manager. It was important for KG at that point to have a back and front understanding of the industry she has served with dedication, professionalism and ease. Her love for jazz on the smoother side led her to Metro FM after that where she mesmerized the nation with her love for smooth jazz before spending 10 years at Radio 2000 on various slots, including talk. KG is extremely excited to be joining SAFM at this time in its history and looks forward to endearing herself with her vast musical knowledge to its listeners.
