POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Fortune Combo (SAfm, Lotus FM & RADIO 2000) seeks the services of a talented Graphic Designer to join their team.The Fortune Combo (SAfm, Lotus FM & RADIO 2000) seeks the services of a talented Graphic Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their design skills across various mediums, from print to digital. As a Graphic Designer at the Fortune Combo, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visually compelling assets that align with our respective brand identities and resonate with our target audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and design visual concepts for all media touchpoints, including but not limited to:
· Marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, posters, banners)
· Social media graphics (banners, posts, ads)
· Website graphics (banners, icons, infographics)
· Promotion of on-air shows and talent
· Presentations and reports
· Email newsletters and templates
· Collaborate with marketing to understand project requirements and objectives.
· Translate creative briefs and ideas into visually appealing designs that communicate key messages effectively.
· Use industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create and edit graphics.
· Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all channels.
· Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our visual communication strategies.
· Collaborate with external vendors, printers, and other partners as needed for production and implementation of designs.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
· Diploma in Graphic Design
· 2 to 4 years proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software/tools.
· The successful candidate must have their own licensed design software, equipment and another other resource deemed necessary.
· Must be able to work in a hybrid working environment with non -traditional working hours in line with the nature of the radio industry.
· Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
· Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
· Experience with web design, motion graphics, or video editing is a plus.
· Knowledge of printing processes and specifications is desirable.
· Experience in animation is an advantage.
