The Democratic Alliance Students Organisation (DASO) is intending to prevent the renowned legal scholar and Pan-Africanist lecture Professor Lumumba from addressing the EFF student command at UCT. We hear on why DASO doesn't want Professor Patrick Lumumba to address an event at UCT, this as  they say it is disgraceful that in a time when gay people in Africa are fighting for their rights and acceptance, the EFF Student Command would choose to give a platform to someone who advocates for their persecution and murder. Lumumba was recently quoted saying "Are you homophobic? My answer is yes. Do I think that those who belong to that club ought to be treated and cured? They are sick! They ought to be cured."
