SA learners struggling with Maths and Science

South Africa's grade five and grade nine learners are considerably behind in mathematics and science

According to Trends in International Maths and Science Study, South Africa is almost dead last among 48 countries in terms of its maths and science education. Despite the low score, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says the study shows that South Africa has made the biggest improvement of any education system in the world since participating in the study. 

 

On the Forum@8 this morning we look at how South Africa can improve results in Maths and Science.
