The series follows the adventures of chef and food stylist, Caro Alberts, as she is set loose in the kitchens of everyday South Africans, who invite her to cater for their special events.

Every week our intrepid travelling chef, sources main ingredients from that episode’s host pantry, fridge, freezer and store cupboards, with a little help from her own trusty ingredient crate and tool box, revealing the secrets to preparing glorious dishes from ordinary pantry staples that wow the host’s guests and inspire viewers at home.  

The series offers the audiences the experience of “the whole package”, by focusing on the menu, Caro is also able to showcase her styling talents by creating beautiful table settings using seemingly plain and inexpensive items she finds at the host’s home and a few props she sources from her toolbox.  

The segments featured in the 13-part series vary from a romantic dinner for two, to a 50th birthday party for 30, as Caro answers the “cry for help” to turn the mundane into the extraordinary and create memorable events that celebrate special occasions.

From the very beginning to the moment when the last delicious morsel is devoured by the appreciative guests, Caro takes viewers on a journey into her world by showing us how we can do more with less.
