Ga Re Dumele season 6 starts with a bang were we encounter the distraught Pastor Tlhong grieving for his late beloved Wife, Esther. It’s on the day of the unveiling of her tomb-stone and the church women realize Pastor is lonely and lethargic and can’t perform his pastoral duties, so they decide to hook him up with a potential wife, but the men are against this as they want to take advantage of Pastor.

The tussle between the two groups is eventually won by the ladies, and Pastor dates and marries his new sweetheart, Matlakala, whom he converted a few years ago without even knowing it. But she turns out to be a tough nut to crack, a la Thuli Madonsela’s appointment by Jacob Zuma; She questions the Pastor's obsession with fashion trends, vanity and diva behaviour, which really gets him hot under the collar.   

We still encounter our favourite bickering but deeply committed couple. Ratau, the loud-mouth, fly-topie, retired builder, and his wife Josephine, a no-nonsense former boarding school matron, are against this vat en sit relationship and connive to break it up, until Ratau gets broke.
