Certified Classics celebrates the origins and cultural impact of South Africa’s greatest Albums through the eyes of the creators as well as the peers who bore witness to the birth of these Classic albums.

The series places its generality on documentation of musical artists who are interviewed and profiled, each episode focuses on a musician or musical group, documenting both the successes of the musicians and discussing the album's writing process and its effect on South African Urban culture. Our criteria for choosing the musicians who appear on the show is, in many cases, profiling musicians that have been very significant to the South African Music industry. Our first season of Certified Classics looks at some of the characters and conditions that gave birth to music that has shaped the Hip Hop generation feat Hip Hop Pantsula (YBA 2 NW) Pro Kid (Heads and Tales) Proverb (Book of Proverb) Amu (The Life, Rap and Drama) Hidden Force (The Takeover).
