A traditional music show that caters for indigenous music genres. The show is designed to provide valuable entertainment and to fulfill a national concern for the preservation of culture as expressed in the milieus of art, music and dance.

Roots showcases the various genres of traditional and indigenous music in a mixture of education and entertainment. 

The two young presenters, who are also representatives of each gender, south African language mix (one is fluent in Zulu while the other in Sepedi) are very knowledgeable on the subject matter of traditional and indigenous music to hold credibility.
