The show that brought you DJ Mshega, Prince KB and Ebhayi’s own DJ SK is here for another season to find South Africa’s best unsigned music producer!
Aspirant DJ’s need to enter online click here and ensure they have their South African ID, a track they have produced by themselves and the wow factor needed to impress our judges on the decks at the ready! All applicants must be over 18 years old and not have any existing contracts for their music or music careers. For those artists who can’t get online, no fret, we will be hosting entry days around South Africa to assist them too!
Auditions will be held on the 14th of March in Port Elizabeth, from 8:00, in Durban on the 21st of March from 8:00am and then in Johannesburg on the 28th of March at venues to be revealed closer to the time.
The deejay hopefuls are all playing for the title of 2017 Master of spin. More than just a title, the winners also walk away with production and deejaying equipment and software to the value of R100 000.00 and all they need to kick start their career.
Presided over by our resident judges DJ Naves (Lebogang Naves) and Sphectacula (Sphe Ngwenya) from Metro FM’s “The Pre Party”, each week the show will have celebrity guests that will help in judging the competition. “This is a search for a deejay, a producer and personality. We are looking for the wow factor” according to DJ Naves.
1’s and 2’s is the world’s first televised competition of its kind. Supported for 4 years by SABC 1 with non-stop development by production house I Love That Productions, 1’s and 2’s season 4 looks to be the best season yet! 1’s and 2’s season 4, the Search for Mzansi’s Master of Spin begins in May at SABC 1.
