‘DJ Mlu’ Weekend Mornings Host
DJ Mlu is a professional broadcaster with over 20 years of broadcasting experience.
He started his career at Rhodes Music Radio as a student. After the completion of his studies in 2004 which included a BA majoring in Politics, Philosophy, Legal Theory and post graduate diploma in media studies, he joined 5fm in 2005. He spent 5 years at 5FM as a Sports presenter on The Gareth Cliff Show and later The Fresh Drive with DJ Fresh. He also hosted his own evening and weekend music shows which included the Internationally syndicated Ministry of Sound dance music show. During this time DJ Mlu became a TV sports presenter on the SABC 3 overnight channel.
In 2011 He joined MetroFM as music show presenter. He presented MetroFM Lounge on Sundays which released a double CD compilation due to its popularity. During this time he also presented a Saturday afternoon show called I Believe alongside Oskido. DJ Mlu then presented the Urban Beat dance music show on Friday nights which has a 15 year history on the station. During his time as the host of the Urban beat he presented The Get Together Experience on SABC 1. This was a simulcast broadcast of his radio show on TV and Radio at the same time.
After 12 years at MetroFM He joined StarFM as Weekend Breakfast host. He was later moved to Drive Time. In 2023 DJ Mlu joined Radio 2000 as a weekend breakfast host.
He is currently the host of the Weekend Mornings with Mlu and Nala 6-9 am Saturdays and Sundays on Radio 2000.
