“NAME THE BREAKFAST SHOW COMPETITION” Competition.

SMS Campaign Period: 15 April 2024 to 28 April 2024

To stand a chance of winning R10 000 in prize money, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Listeners to submit their breakfast show name suggestion to either the stations WhatsApp number (060 584 2250) or to competitons@radio2000.co.za from the 1^st  of April until the 10^th  of April 2024

Step 2: The top 5 name suggestions will be selected and announced on the morning of the 15^th of April 2024

Step 3: Radio 2000 Listeners will have the opportunity to submit their SMS vote for anyone of the 5 breakfast shows names they deem appropriate for the new breakfast show. SMSs will be charged at a premium rate of (R1.50), free SMSs and SMS bundles do not apply

Step 4: SMS lines open on the 15^th of April and will close at 23:59 on the Sunday the 28^th of April 2024

Step 5: To enter, listeners need to choose the name they wish to vote for.  Each of the 5 names will be allocated codes B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5.  To enter, SMS “RADIO2000” followed by anyone of the codes from B1 to B5. Listeners may vote as many times as they wish.  All SMS entries need be sent the RADIO 2000 official LINE – 45690.  Please refer to the example of SMS votes below:

Step 6: Listeners are encouraged to lock on to RADIO 2000 from the 15^th  April to listen to the voting promos or visit www.radio2000.co.za for names of the competition finalists, their name suggestion and the code allocated to it.

 Step 7: The winner will be announced on the morning of the 1^st of May 2024

Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. This competition is open to everyone except directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of the SABC and/ or the competition promoters, and/ or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers, sisters, business partners or associates.
2. No person may enter the same or any other competition hosted partly or in whole by RADIO 2000 within 90 days of winning a competition hosted or in whole by RADIO 2000
3. Name suggestion entries open on the 1^st of April and close at 23:50 on the 10^th of April 2024
4. Entries received after this date/time will not be considered.
5. SMS Voting opens on 15^th April and closes at 23:59 on the 28^th of April 2024.
6. SMS votes received after the 28^th of April 2024 will not be considered.  
7. Entries received after this date/time will not be considered.

9. Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain permission from parents or guardians before entering
10. Participants will only be contacted by RADIO 2000/SABC personnel.
11. The SABC/ RADIO 2000 accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupt entries. The SABC will not be liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.
12. Prizes not collected/ or claimed within 90 days will be forfeited and disposed of in the discretion of the SABC and/or the competition promoter.
13. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The SABC will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the competition or prize awards.
14. To claim this, prize the winner must adhere to the rules specified for this campaign.
15. Winners may be required to participate on Radio, or on any other medium as shall be determined by the specific campaign.
16. Winners’ names will be announced on the date and on the medium as will be determined by the specific campaign.
17. Prizes are not transferable.
18. The SABC reserves the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
19. The SABC/RADIO 2000 reserves the right to amend any show name that it deems appropriate for the breakfast show without consultation.  In addition, should RADIO 2000 fail to find an appropriate show name suggested by the public, the RADIO 2000 reserves the right to create their own name.
20. In instances were different members of the public submit entries with same name, the station reserves the right to allow the name which was submitted first as a valid entry.  
21. Entrants should be South African citizens with valid identification.
22. To claim the prize, the winner must provide and complete all the relevant documentation. 
23. Winners use prizes at own risk. The SABC shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize/s.
24. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering the competition.
