I was born on the 19th of August 1982 in a village called Mahushu next to Hazyview in Mpumalanga. I attended primary school at Zakheleni , secondary at Bhekiswako High and tertiary at the University of Venda. I was very shy as a child but brilliant. My dream growing up was to become an investigative journalist; however my family felt I needed to be a doctor.
I therefore enrolled for a Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy in 2001 at the University of Venda because my aunt wanted me to be a physiotherapist. In 2002 I realized Physiotherapy was not what I wanted to do then I deviated to Bachelor of Arts in media Studies at the same university. I completed my studies in 2005.
My first job was being a “nanny” that I will never forget, I was young and trying to get by. I therefore proceeded to teaching English grades 10 to 12 at Twin College in Hazyview. At the same time I was an editor of Twin Hazy magazine, covering events happening in surrounding schools.
I joined the SABC, Ligwalagwala FM in April 2007 at the age of 25. I am currently a producer and presenter of educational shows (Learner Support) Mon – Thur at 14:30-15:00
I am a mother of two kiddies 14yr old boy and 3yr old cutie girl. My late grandmother had always been my inspiration, always guiding me and was my pillar of strength. As a woman I so wish that every woman could believe in themselves and learn to be independent if needs be, do whatever they believe in without any fear or prejudice. I despise people who lie. I don’t like the fact that I am sometimes impatient and want things to be done my way at my own time of which it’s often impossible. If I could make one wish come true, that could be feed the needy, give them love and security and most of all educate them.
