Portia Luthuli known to her listeners as “Lady Of Soul” as a young, vibrant, loving and influential young woman. She is 33 years old. She is married to Ps Thembinkosi Luthuli. She was born in KaNyamazane location in Mpumalanga, situated east of Nelspruit. She joined the Mpumalanga’s best leading radio station, Ligwalagwala FM in 2005 where she currently hosts the weekly “(a) Be Motivated (b) Atibuye Emasisweni (c) Morning Devotions and “Gospel Top Ten Hits Show with Choral Music Show” on every Sundays.

She is one of the first young lady Pastors who took the Gospel Music to another dimension of praise and Worship. Her effort has contributed a lot in increasing the listenership of Ligwalagwala FM and she has influenced many young and old people to love Gospel Music. She is known as Lady who is able to touch people’s souls, revive them with gospel music and bible scripture. She also motivates the listeners on different social issues.

2012 She was chosen by Imizwilili TV Choral Music to shoot her choral programme at the studio, her life at home and at church. It was broadcasted on the January 09, 2012.

2005 that’s when she was called and given the opportunity to join Ligwalagwala FM

 2006 She was offered to host “Fountain of Life Show ” on every Wednesdays evenings on Ligwalagwala FM.

2007 She was offered to host “Moral Regeneration Show” on every Tuesdays evenings on Ligwalagwala FM.

2010 She was offered to host “Praise and Worship hour”  on every Sunday evenings on Ligwalagwala FM.

2011 she was also offered to host “Choral Music Show” on every Sunday evenings on Ligwalagwala FM

2012 through her hard work she was given the opportunity to host the “Gospel Top Ten Hits on Ligwalagwala fm until to date.

1998 She completed   a Certificate in Audio and Visual Communications.

2004 She graduated with TLC for Certificate in Ministry

2005 she graduated with CLT for Diploma in Ministry.

2014 she graduated with UNISA for the Bachelor Arts in Communication Science

2014  She is currently enrolled with Hebron Theological College for the Diploma in Theology

2008 she won an award on Ligwalagwala FM as the best presenter in Religion

2011 she became one of the top two candidates to be an Ambassador for the Department of Social Development in the Mpumalanga Province.

Her Further Achievements

2011: She wrote a book Titled: “A Collection of Hope”. The message is for everyone who has been through difficulties in life. It brings back hope to an individual. It is a message that will change the way you think and does things.

2013: She has started a Deborah Women’s Club which is a network of women who believes in Christ and able to rise up like Deborah in the Bible. It focuses to Women issues such as (Single, Married, Widower and Divorcee’) which accommodate every women in Mpumalanga. It has different activities such as (women in sport, career woman, beautiful woman, business woman, book review and women in the bedroom). They also give counseling to commercial sex workers with the aim of winning them to Christ. The Women’s club is an international network which has more than 200 members.

2014:She wrote her second book Titled: ‘When God Calls a Woman”. It talks about the stages that a woman goes through when she decides to respond to God’s Calling. The Book was published in the United States of America

She is a Parliamentary interpreter (Mpumalanga Legislature at the Riverside). And a translator for different books adverts etc.

She is the Teacher of the Word, Prophet and the Motivational Speaker. She has been ministering the Word of God through Africa in the past 16 years, including Swaziland and Botswana.

She motivates in different government departments, churches, schools, weddings,orphanage homes, youth camps, royal houses and Women Conferences.

She is working with the Moral Regeneration Movement (Music and Prayer) as a Programme Director at the Provincial year end function which is celebrated every year.

She worked with the Late Mandla Thabethe (Bongo) in Production of Comedy and Drama.

She worked with Khabonina Qubeka (TV actress) on women conferences.

She has featured as an Programme Director twice at major Gospel Music Festival in Mpumalanga, including the annual Big Fish Gospel Music Festival featuring Joyous Celebration  organised by Big Fish Music which attracted close to +_15 000 people in attendance.
