Back to School 2025 – Hamper Competition

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition runs from 6 – 12 January 2025 at 18:00 on the 12^th of January 2025.
2. The competition is open to all South African citizens except directors, members, partners, employees, agents, service providers and consultants of the SABC, as well as any SABC employee including agencies, or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers, sisters, business partners or associates.
3. The entrants must have a valid South Africa identity document and reside in South Africa.
4. Listeners will be requested to head over to our X page LESEDIFM to tell us what their child is looking forward to the most about returning to school. Include a picture with the hashtag #DiSmileDiReady. The post with the most likes will win a Lesedi FM hamper.
5. The competition will be on the station X page.
6. To be eligible for the competition, the listener must use the hashtag #DiSmileDiReady and Tag LesediFM on X
7. Listeners must head over to our X page LESEDIFM to tell us what their child is looking forward to the most about returning to school. Include a picture with the hashtag #DiSmileDiReady
8. Pictures with the most likes will be selected as winners.
9. The 5 Pictures with the most likes will be chosen as winners.
10. The voting will close on the 12^th of January 2025 at 18h00.
11. Winners will be announced on the 13^th of January 2024.
12. Any late entries received will not be taken into consideration.
13. There is a restriction on the number of entries. Participants can ask others to like, share, or retweet their post to gain more traction.
14. If the winner cannot send the required information within the requested period that will be communicated with them, they will forfeit the prize and other numbers will be selected.
15. Winners must give the station one to three months before they can receive their prizes.
16. Participants must have not won any prize with Lesedi FM for the past 3 months.
17. SABC and its agents accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupt entries. SABC and its agents are not liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.
18. The SABC or its agents will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the competition or prize awards.
19. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be deferred or exchanged.
20. Winners use prizes at their own risk. The SABC and its agents shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize/s.
21. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
22. SABC and its agents reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control.
23. If a random winner is drawn from a list of cellular phone numbers, the owner of the SIM card will be deemed the winner of the airtime, even though the handset may have been used by another individual to enter the competition.
