Good Hope FM’s The Morning Show with Leigh-Anne Williams, Delucia Daniels and Sandra Rosenberg will be broadcasting live from the highly anticipated Ladles of Love Realise a Dream awards event at Makers Landing, V&A Waterfront, this Friday, 20 May from 9 to 12 pm.
The event gives food entrepreneurs and agripreneurs – working in Baking and Confectionery, Food Products or Processing, Food Service or Eatery, and Farming Produce or Husbandry – a chance to win their share of the prize pool worth 1 million rand, including a capital expenditure allocation for their business.
Tons of entries received were narrowed down to 20 finalists, who are being put through their paces by the judging panel this week, before the awards event on Friday, where 4 overall winners will be announced.
Having seen the troublesome challenges of youth unemployment in South Africa made worse by Covid-19, Realise A Dream was established by food security non-profit organisation, Ladles of Love in 2021 to enable food enterprises to grow and provide jobs for people in communities, allowing them to sustain themselves and feed their families with dignity.
