Palliative care is an approach to improve the quality of life of patients and families with life-threatening and life-limiting illness at any stage of the illness through the treatment of pain and other distressing symptoms, psychosocial support and spiritual care. HPCA continues to advocate for improved services in palliative care and the provision within our national health system.
HPCA is reliant on the generosity of the public to continue to provide these essential services. To find out more about palliative care and support the work that HPCA does, please contact Fahim Docrat at fahim@hpca.co.za or visit their website www.hpca.co.za and SMS hospice to 40772 and donate R20 to show that you care!
