The reigning Betway Premiership champions could qualify for the newly expanded 32-team tournament in the United States as CAF Champions League winners, provided they overcome Egyptian side Pyramids on Sunday.

Sundowns have been drawn in Group F, alongside Ulsan HD of South Korea, Germany's Borussia Dortmund, and Fluminense from Brazil.

Komphela says the team’s participation on such a prestigious global stage could help boost their profile in the transfer market.
