The AU leaders are expected to consider and adopt the African Union budget for 2026.
This will enable the continental body to deal with challenges facing Africa and ensure that Africa's continued resilience and the sustenance of the AU Commission. They will also elect two commissioners for Economic, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals and Education, Science and Innovation.
