The high-profile event is taking place at the Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre in the City of Ekurhuleni, Johhannesburg.
This year’s summit is being held under the theme: “Socio-Economic Transformation and Inclusive Growth in the context of the Government of National Unity, G20 Presidency and the Changing Geopolitical Dynamics.”
Speaking during a media briefing in Pretoria on Thursday, Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed the President’s participation.
The summit brings together key players from government, business and civil society to deliberate on urgent economic matters. Over the course of the gathering, several cabinet ministers will take part in panel discussions tackling issues such as access to finance for black-owned businesses, including those led by women and young entrepreneurs.
Other discussions are expected to centre on strategies to revitalise the economy and enhance inclusive growth, particularly in light of SA’s evolving political landscape and its upcoming G20 Presidency.
The BBC Annual Summit has become a cornerstone platform for driving dialogue on economic transformation and empowering black business in SA.
