From sine waves to live shows, Austin Cassim has got you covered. The young Electronic DJ/Producer started his musical journey at age 12 with DJ sets, as well as creating his own music. Now, more than a decade later, Austin has cemented himself in South Africa and its surrounding countries, as one of the most popular names in SA’s Dance Music Scene. Before the age of 21 Austin had already headlined 3 of SA’s biggest shows known as Ultra Music Festival, H2O and Ballito Rage. While many may see it as a challenge to be in the shadow of an older sibling, Austin joined forces with his elder brother, Kyle, to form CINIMIN - The award winning, multi-million streamed duo.

If you had to sum up yourself in 10 seconds, what would you say?

I believe life is too short so I’ve never spent more than too much time doing something that makes me unhappy.

In which towns have you lived and where are you living currently?

Pretoria, Sandton and now Bedfordview.

Which languages can you speak?

English & Afrikaans

What are your favourite towns or cities visited in SA and abroad?

New York & Lisbon. Locally, I really like St Francis Bay.

What are your hobbies?

I love watching movies and getting super into the lore and then analysing the story and characters and art form.

What is the craziest thing you’ve done?

Woke up, called my brother asking him how cape town is, booked a flight to cape town, landed partied and then flew home.
